DAY .. 28. February - 2003 
RC-funfly.de is a nice guy called Detlef Hilgendorf aus Hildesheim.... He deals great epoxy, carbon etc and wanted a Wizard from Espen. He also makes some F5B and F5D planes for own use. DS is prime time for him nowadays he said (yes it is addictive...) 
In the evening Jan and Louise offered us to stay with them in the summerhouse. Good food and Danish beer bought in Germany :-) 
BTW i have over 500 pictures from this trip now !!!

     DAY ..
27. February - 2003 
Today we have been to Hollein and bought half the shop. Great shop and nice service. Outside we flew the Pogo (the wing with impeller). Have you ever seen over 50 Blue Phonix ?? Cool. In the evening we went to Martin Webershock and stayed there for the night. Early next morning we helped him move the heaviest mould of Caracho I have ever "tried" to lift. Well it went into his Multivan and goodbye. See you next time Martin (Ørebro Open for some "kjøttbullar").

 

     DAY .. 26. February - 2003 
Very interesting day. Out flying Jaro's new Elita model. Espen was testpilot in 10-15m/s wind and winch was used. Tests gave the necessary answers and Jaro was satisfied. Cant give you all details as it is classified. Had big problem on border so we had to get transit papers. All ok now. Pictures below (bigger when I get home maybe).
     DAY .. 25. February - 2003 
Very interesting days. Milan Janek with Compacts and Racemachine - Acacia producer - Mrva with Majko model and----- Lots of new ideas and cool discussions for future things.
Jaro Muller with new "Elita" model. 2850mm - 61dm2 - 8,3% - 1,75.... don't remember all values right now. Standard profile, no big change here. All moving V-tail. Special construction inside wing. Completely carbon all wing. This is only one of the special things about the model. Jaro likes evolution if he can make it :-) Tomorrow we will fly the Elita at local field with Jaro. You can expect something totally different from Jaro this time. Today we had dinner at famous Tosca's - really great food and nice discussions with Jaro.
BTW Brio from Samba (I also sell Brio. Look at Pike-site) looks really promising and might have some new techniques not mentioned here yet :-)

     DAY .. 24. February - 2003 
08:00 - Just a very small update after a drinking night on town with Samba. Thnx a lot guys (and Jane offcourse....). We (me and Espen Torp) are now in Sebranice picking up some Pike's (3 X-tail Superior and 2 V-tail Superior for sale and some "stuff" for me. Also testflown the new X-tail and it seems just as expected. Low weight (really low actually) and good control. Should be no need for adjustments. Have been in Praha collecting X21 and also picked up 10 Opus (ET-version) with Sramek. Sorry that we did not meet you Roman but time was not on your side. Tomorrow we will go to Zilina and Milan Janek.

Splendid weather again and there were no way that we could sit inside and look at that great weather. The winch was put up and the Pike Superior had 3 long trips around the sky. Ouuuh it is great to thermal.

12. February - 2003 
Nice weather and my uncle on visit. He brought a brand new MPX Royal EVO 9 and a Graphite electro....
This is the worst Tx I have tried to understand in the MPX family. I have owned Combi 80, 2015, 3030 and currently owns the 4000. But hey this bugger rocks ....... It has a two genius buttons for starting the engine on electroplanes on the stick and a perfect button for DLG-flying on each side of the Tx.
After 5 hours of playing the EVO still have power (that's good on a 1500mah pack) but the Graphite can still not be flown.. :-( But my uncle.. he is going to have problem with next model also. Sorry MPX - first impression on menu and instructions was not good. The EVO itself is cool. When we figured out that the servos had to be in a specific order the Graphite was ready in about 1 hour. The next model (a 3servo wing Organic 2,5m) was ready in only 30min. Kinda
beginning to like this Tx now :-)
We were on the ice also but only me flying my Organic, Drenalyn and a bit GT-wing.

9. February - 2003 
Ah finally a day on the ice. The repaired Pike Plus got into the air and shines like a star again. The Plus is so easy to fly and handles so gently. It must be one of the easiest machines to get good flying time with. Had to long flights (15 and 25 minutes) despite the 5m/s wind. The tail is a bit twisted so I will have to work a bit more with it. But it handles great and will be a great cheap plane for anyone that wants to get into F3J. I will probably sell it soon. Made a small video for those of you that just cant resist downloading videos..... 844kb

9. February - 2003 
Remember the unlucky Junior that went straight down in Finland ? ( Day 4 at WC F3J - Picture HERE ) Well I have fixed the broken model and it should now be almost as competitive again. The fuse broke at 3 different places and the wing was bent in many ways. A lot of thin zap (the wings are balsa not herex) - some carbon and epoxy and it is almost ready. A little bit more micro balloons and some paint and it will be great. I plan to testfly one of the next days. The weight was better than I thought. Empty 1770g - with gear 2340g. That is good considered WR midsection - X-tail and plenty of glue.

8. February - 2003 
Today the mainclub had its yearly meeting and I was off course there. Our modelclub is "just" a group of 34 pilots under the main club Valdres Flyklubb (total 190 members). The biggest issue this time was buying a ASK 21 for over 60000EUR. That is a lot of money but that case only needed 30minutes of discussion. Should be fun to have a few trips in that machine.

     DAY .. 7. February - 2003 
Wow big mistake today! Indoor flying was todays plan but when Tom Olav called "late" I had to get going quick. That meant that I forgot both the camera and my transmitter. It a long time since I have done a mistake like that.

4. February - 2003 
Even more snow and every day it is blowing a bit. It is to cold for winching but some small 5 minutes flights with smaller planes is OK.
Trip around Europe: Me and Espen Torp is going for a long week trip for Europe. 
Were are we going ? Well here is the list:
- Kristiansand and the boat over to Hirtshals Denmark (Staying with Egil Myr in Kristiansand)
- Staufenbiel Germany...
- Hamburg
- Praha staying at Roman (Mr. Lomcovak)
   Also a model show in Praha and maybe some beer ?
- Kostelec visiting Sramek that makes the Opus
- Sebranice visiting Samba
   Here I will pick up 5 Superiors and give Jane a big hug :-)
- Zilina in Slovakia visiting Milan Janek that makes the Wizard
- Zilina visiting Karol Mrva and pick up some Majko's (small all glass electro glider)
- Piestany visiting Jaro Muller. Dinner at Tosca's....
- Wallerstein visiting Weisgerber and look at his new workshop.
- Graupner and Peter Gølz - Look at the WC F3B place. Shopping in Metzingen
- Kasel and parts for Espen's Joker heli
- Sønderborg Denmark visiting Jan and Louise.
- El-flight....
- Home after 11 days and apx 5000km of driving!!

3. February - 2003 
More snow and more work. 
Managed to squeeze in a flight with a X-wing.


January - Not extremely much flying this month but many flights with many planes. Biggest of the month was the new video "Pike-launch". It should be well worth the download of 13,5mb
February
- What a trip we had. 10 days in Europe visiting many of the finest developers. Learned incredibly much.
March - Back from the trip and tested the new X-tail for Superior. Came third in the first event with 24 comp. Majko was cool and Fagernes Flyshow was a spectacular event with over 100 pilots.
April - Great month and the spring is coming. Pike Mini with Superior tips is great - Great DS in Haugesund - and first session this year on my local DS-slope. 
May - Wow what a month. Jean was here - speed training - Yellow Eagle Trophy - Spacewolf and most important my new Pike Brio. I think I am ready for the summer now!
June - Jihaa! I got to be National champion F3J for the second time. I was also practising a lot with my new Brio and went to Ørebro Open (Eurotour F3B). I also became Club Champion in the club Cirrus.
July - Got gold medal in the Team and 7th overall in Nordic Championship. Crashed my Brio in F3B and had plenty of friends stopping by for longer and shorter time. New personal best of 17,68s in speed F3B and my first flight with Paraglider. Also pretty irritating that I am not at EC F3J....
August - 3x12 electro (1st), LSF at Vingen (1st), F3J at Nome (1st) and Hollandglide F3J (did not win..). But a great month with lots of flying and lots of good feedback from Hollandglide.
September - Started editing...
