DAY .. 26.July 2009 -
Nordic Championship F3J
Last day of the competition and we finished of a
whopping 9!! rounds this weekend before 12:00
sunday. This was possible due to 9 teams all
flying all the time and yet we had 5min
preparation time between each group. Nice! Sadly
a rainstorm developed and almost stopped us
flying the finals. But we managed to squeeze in
3 final rounds in very calm conditions yet still
with challenging positive air since the ground
was still hot. I did a mistake flying a too big
and light model in the first final that we flew
in rain (got stuck in the wrong place) but in
the second I flew 13min and that was 3min more
than the next one with my Pike Perfect SL. In
the last I could control the group a bit and I
only lost a few seconds to Conny Andersson that
flew very well for a second place. Alf Erik Ross
got 3rd place. My team (Alf Erik, Tor and
Fredrik) did very well winning the Team gold
medal and we only missed Tor in the finals. He
had a faulty Tx antenna connection and went down
in the launch with two planes sadly (luckily
only fuses damaged). So fantastic results for my
team and especially my son in 23rd place I am
very happy with. He enjoyed the whole weekend
and also tells me when I push him too much on
the low flying.. ;) And finally I am Nordic
Champion in both individual and team!!! Yihaa

DAY .. 25.July 2009 -
Nordic Championship F3J
First day of the competition and the winds were
high and lots of bad results for some. It was
difficult but from round 3-4 there were mostly
people getting away with some thermals. I flew
my Pike Perfect ET and Fredrik the Pike Perfect
double carbon. I crashed with Lennart Andersson
in round4 far away in a thermal and had to
switch to the normal Perfect so Fredrik flew the
Xplorer 3800 the rest of the competition. The
Perfect ET has a completely destroyd midsection
but the tips can be saved for the EC in a few
weeks. Thanks to all that went looking for the
lost tip. Very happy with Fredrik managing the
windy conditions and treetop flying just behind
the landing zone. There were some trees there
that could get you some extra time if flown
well.

Nordic Championship F3J
Arrived yesterday to the field of Nordic
Championship F3J that is held every other year.
Me and Fredrik flew some practice flights with
just the tension of a line stuck in the ground
that we shared with Lennart Arvidsson. We flew
only the Perfect ET. Nice weather and good to
see all the pilots in the Nordic countries
again.

Ever read what Uncle Sydney have to say? Not? If
you are slightly interrested in F3J you should.

Xplorer / Goldagan
Me and my son went over the mountain to a nearby
town that has its yearly gathering. Flew a
flight with the helikopter and then drove up the
mountain again to get some landing practice with
my son. Nice weather with 25C and calm winds.
Good turnout on the pilots even only Friday.

DAY .. 9-12.July 2009 -
Valdresmarken
I have been busy taking photos for one of the
main summer events here.
You can see more photos HERE or

On Saturday we flew a lot for the kids as usual
and gave out caramels.

Perfect
Again in the mountain but the winds were not
with me so only 3 throws with my Perfect ET and
I took a long brake before I decided to just
relax instead.

Perfect
29Celcius down in the valley and the same at
1000meters... Well got to fly some and have some
fun acting as a scarecrow. Windy and some
thunder at distance. Tested the Philip joiners a
bit on the Perfect ET.
Video of it HERE
(25mb .wmv)
I feel standard joiners is enough on the ET tips
while I will still fly philip joiners on the
normal Perfect. Though if you like to circle a
lot and low you might feel the philip joiners
help you. As you can see on the video even a
downwind turn around yourself and the tip for a
landing is possible. I will probably still fly
normal joiners on the ET tips in competitions.
If you need Philip joiners I have in stock...
