DAY .. 13-15.november 2009 - Recap photos
Its become a tradition for me to take photos of spesific valleys and waterfalls every time I drive past them. So here are some...
And check out how the snow is lifted in the "DS-zone" of a snowpile. And that is even when the top is flat....
Valley is "Buerdalen" and glacier "Buerbreen" (thanks Geir)

DAY .. 15.november 2009 - Aksdal F3F - Predator
I did not know that the boys were going to have this years last F3F National Cup but had to participate for sure. Took out my Predator since I had not flown that in F3F before. Was on the edge of ballast in all rounds (started with full and took out slightly round after round). Had one round with very bad conditions but was reasonably lucky with the air and no cuts. Won the event so a good day for me and my Predator. We were not many since the weather forecast had been bad (we waited 6 more guys from the south).
Conditions were 3-9m/s and sunny and rather nice today compared to the other days. We started late but did not stop before the sun was low around 4pm. The last photo shows a cool Miniellipse that Arild have had for years. It fits in a Graupner radio box including radio for travel since all parts are divided in smaller parts. Cool.
Results are HERE - Just a small fun video HERE to show the slope at Aksdal

DAY .. 14.november 2009 - Kobra DS
Forecast was bad but it was not that bad. It was actually very good with high winds (15-20m/s) and 11celcius. It did start to rain after a while but we got some good flying in with record speeds. I brought my Kobra DS and got a 232mph but needed a break and broke the elevator horn in the landing off course. Went down to the car to fix it and it started raining but went up again. Rolf Inge got to up his pb to 182mph with his double carbon light wizard compact which is a great achievement. The rain stopped again after the barbeque and I got to fly some serious conditions. Even though the wind was slightly off I got 262mph (421,6km/h) and is a personal best for me and highest in Norway (European record is 275mph). The rain picked up again and conditions got sloppy but it was smooth so I had fun flying low and in the end too low... Smacked into the ground in 100mph but just smiled because I had my good new personal best ;)
The new radar Falcon DS worked well for us. One thing is that one have to fly directly to or from otherwise you will have low readings and then suddenly the real ones when you happen to fly direct to or from the radar. The radar can be bought at www.skipmillermodels.com

DAY .. 13.november 2009 - Kobra DS
Took the trip over the mountain to fly DS with the boys in Haugesund. The wind was 20m/s but it rained and by the time the rain stopped we were down to 10-12m/s wind. But conditions were fairly good and I managed 192mph (309km/h) with my Kobra DS. Rolf Inge managed 173 with his Wizard Compact (double carbon version) and Arild Møllerhaug 158mph with his Skymax4 (light F3B version). I used my new radar gun the Falcon DS from Skipmillermodels.com. Seemed to work well and it is supposed to go all the way up to 575mph so...

DAY .. 9.november 2009 - King's Pokal
Thought we were competing for the kings pokal this year but then it now appears that they have changed the rules in the middle of the season. It was only going to large sailplanes (went to Birger W. Bulukin. Congratulation!!) and paragliding (that class did not happen this year so they need to return the pokal). Trying to find out when model flying will have a chance again (edit: 2011)

DAY .. 6-7.november 2009 - Rakfisk
The Mother club and National organisation had arranged a stand at the festival so I made up a board, some video and gathered some of my stuff. Two long days but was fun talking to people and flying a bit. It is fairly dangerous to fly among so many people so no fancy flying. Just in and out mostly with the Joker 2 but I did fly a lot with the NoLiemit indoor model also. Got some nice photos that I sold to a local newspaper also (so airphotos are copyright'ed please). All the photos HERE - A report in Norwegian HERE

DAY .. 1.november 2009 - Rakfisk
Town is making ready for this winters festival. They expect around 20-25.000 people and have put up large tents.
So I took out the Joker2 to have a few photos. Also took some of the new shopping mould. No sun but it was for practice anyhow. If I were to go again I would take the photo of tents from the other side and shopping mould lower. Low clouds were cool though ;)

DAY .. 29.october 2009 - Football
The local football field needed some photos to show of the new sitting places. And to show of a ticket place. So I took some photos of the ticket place and placed it into the photo.
